Sainsbury’s: “You Can!” Campaign

Project Title: “You Can!” Colleague Engagement Campaign

Project Aim: To motivate colleagues to achieve their personal and professional goals through the inspiration  and power of the Paralympic Games.

Our role: To create an internal point of engagement that promotes Sainsbury’s sponsorship of the Games,  reflecting the Paralympic values of belief, inspiration and equality which are a very close match to Sainsbury’s employee brand values.

Project components: The Alternative created a dynamic campaign utilising specially commissioned photography to create inspirational posters which encourages colleagues to become involved in the Colleague Paralympics Challenge.

Project outcomes: Sainsbury’s have set the target of achieving 100% awareness amongst colleagues
about their sponsorship of the Paralympic Games. They have also set a target of 80% engagement amongst colleagues in appreciating why the Paralympic cause is important to Sainsbury’s. To date, Sainsbury’s are well on track to achieve these targets.

This project involved: Colleague insight, creative and art direction, brand articulation, artworking, producing print to be distributed to Sainsbury’s stores and depots nationwide.

In addition The Alternative directed a photo shoot for local Paralympic athletes showcasing their sporting talent.
